Default Help please

I am going to buy a 1.8T 2000 A4. I would like to get you guys inputs. What should I look out for? I have never owned an Audi before, but, sure, they are the most beautifull cars out there.

What are the goods and bads about A4?

thanks

OK, I'll be nice.

Check the maintenance records to make sure all oil changes were done. Engines tend to sludge up.

Front control arms tend to wear (squeeking when slowly going over bumps)
Front tie rods tend to wear (clunks when slowly going over bumps)

Make sure it is quattro.

Car is great to drive. Car requires adherence to maintenance schedules. Relaible, but not bullet proof like Honda/Toyota.

Parts are more expensive than Honda/Toyota.

Just remember is a cruising car not a sports car. They are NOT designed for a thrashing trust me. The moment you drive it hard things break. But if you look after them they are a pretty stable car. So get a little history on the driver.. Meet them have a good chat to them. Ask them careful questions to pick up on them because NO one will admit to thrashing a car when they think some one wants to buy it. Just ask them

What type of driving they used the car for mostly.. Long trips or Around Town?
Siblings.. Did they drive it lol.. Kids thrash their parents cars.
Make sure you get a honest answer about smash repairs to..
