Default help! something is wrong!

theres something wrong with my car, but its hard to explain.
It smells like the clutch is burning.
there is a delay from when you shift till when the gear kicks in. this happens mostly in 1st and 2nd.
rpm is around 2k in 2nd going 20mph, first gear is around 2k at 10mph. and when you push down on the clutch it feels like crunching a coke can.
it seems like the car is very underpowered.
any ideas? im thinking the clutch.
thanks guys, and hopefully its nothing too serious...

Is the clutch slipping? When you get into gear does it seem sluggish or not want to engage as quick? Take it to a mechanic and have him drive it. Or just hold it at redline and drop the clutch and see what happens. If it goes the first time it was the clutch if it goes the second time its wasn't the clutch. Just jokin. I wish my clutch was going, b/c its a good reason to put a lightweight flywheel on her.

take it to redline? what are you....an idiot? this will fry your clutch. the " coke can" is the pressure plate is cracked and breaking up. the plate is very rigid like a brake pad. if under warrenty the dealer should replace it
