yeah I ordered a timing belt kit form ecs. I opted to not get the light weight pully kit because some people say the 1.8T will see no gains and it might throw the balance of the engine off. I know many people advise against a light weight flywheel and the lightweight pully. I dont know, I personally did not want to install it because why install something that isnt broken?

I got the ecs timing belt kit w/ a lightweight pulley for my 2000 1.8t and it works just fine. i've put almost 6k miles on since i put it on and it's given me no problems at all.

I didnt say it would bring problems, my point is why buy/install something that does nothing for you?
