Somehow, she doesn't strike me as the type to be scared off by the dealer.

Sorry to hear about that. If you bought it from an Audi dealership, especially new or Audi certified used, and have <50k miles, you are fully covered. You shouldn't have to pay a single penny for anything. You should also have some sort of warranty to 100k but that may not cover this and, if it does, I believe it's parts only.

If you got it somewhere else, you should collect the maintenance records as was previously said. You might have got it "certified used" from a dealership, but it's not AUDI certified.

Are coach shoes good?

Car is a 04' so I can't see why in any way it wouldn't be covered, unless you have high milage.
I bet it was caused by those 11inch headrest monitors - GOD DAM

it should be under warranty but be ready to pay for something.... they always try to cut some deal to make you think its your fault when they should be paying for the hole damn thing! Seems like everyone up there are *** holes, they cant help a cute girl push a car. damn canadians, except you sweetie. I blew out my timing belt before on my old audi and bought a used head and rebuilt it for alittle over 1k cause my warranty was done. I sold it and bought a newer one cause it didnt run the same ever since...... take full advantage of that warranty if you still got it
