Default Hi New Girl here looking for a Part!

Hi Everyone!! I'm trying to find the coil pack plastic holders that bolt into the engine with the two screws. I noticed that my engine is missing them! I guess the previous owner kept them or forgot to put them back! ):

if you have a 01+ model, you just have push down coilpacks and not the bolt down type. Its not a big deal as long as the spark plugs are gapped and torque down to the correct specs.

OK well let me give you the whole problem.

First of all. I have a 2001 A4 1.8. I upgraded to K04 about a year ago. Car ran fine. About 1 month ago I'm driving on the freeway and the coil goes bad and the car starts sputtering. misfiring I guess? I take it to the mechanic and he says one of the coils has gone bad and he only had a used one to replace it with and tells me to buy a new one but I didnt yet.

Car runs fine again for about 2 weeks and same thing again! I pull over and look at the engine and the second coil from the top is popped out. I push it down and still not working. I end up getting the car towed to my house.

I end up buying all new spark plugs and coils from ebay (some reputable ebay store). I chage it all and it works fine for 10 min. I then try to test it out and punch the gas! check engine light goes on and same problem! Open the hood with the engine still running to see coil 2 popped up and as Im looking at it, coil 3 pops up!! wth!!!

Anyways, My friend made these little brackets to hold the coils down and it worked again until I went on the Gas hard.. same problem, open the hood and no coils are popped up but as I wiggle coil 3, the problem goes away!!

What do I do? I figured maybe the coils are loose and it was because of the missing coil holders. Please anyone help. I'm dying here with this problem..

what plugs and gap? You need a heat range colder plug and lower the gap to .028.

Also if you want real bolt down packs, you can get some Hitachis from ecstuning for you engine code. They are more reliable than the push down bremi ones, but the plugs are more your problem im guessing

My friend just told me that he used 4 NGK platinum plugs (PFR6Q). They are gapped at .028. I researched a little and people are talking about these hitachi coils. Maybe Ill try to get some of those? Ugh! This car is pissing me off.

Thanks for all your help so far guys!

try some NGK bkr7e's they work great and I have seen alot of people use them with no problems. If you live in colder climate you might want to use bkr6e's. I never heard of coil packs popping up like that though, weird.

can i have yo numba? can i have it? can i have it? can i have it pls? lol j/k
ya welcome
put some thing around the coil and then stick it in. it's weird that they should pop up like that. maybe the air that was in there when u put it in expanded when the car heated up and push it up. that is a very weird problem. also make sure ur plugs are on properly. maybe they're not on 100% and the pressure from the engine is pushing it up? but then u would have oil all over. well if it comes to it, glue the thing on lol j/k dont' do that
