There are kits to convert the low beams, H7, between $130 and $200.
Search the forum.

I just just just put the 8000k HIDs in my 2003 A4 1.8Tq, i ordered them from vvme.com and they got here within a week due to being shipped from china, they say it takes about an hour or two to install, i got it all done within about 30 minuites, but they are plug and play for about 130 bucks...you wont regret it my man....best investment i have put into the car yet!!

the low beam bulbs are H7's, you need the single beam, choose the bulb size and choose the ****k bulb you want and your set,

trick on HID bulbs,

The Higher the "****k" - The more color (blue), and less intensity of light output,

The Lower the "****k" - The less color (more white), and more intensitry of light output.

ussually people will say go with the 6000k bulb, i went with the 8000k bulb and it is blue, but compared to the stock halogen bulb, it is night and day, you would be happy with the 8000k bulb, but if you dont want much blue go with the 6000k.

let us know what you pic!!

Have fun shoppin!!

i understand there areconversion kits, that is not my question, i would rather put oem assembly in my vehicle, im assuming on the oem headlights the ballast and all that is integrated to headlight, so my question is going the oem route can i just plug in the headlights and be good?

Don't pay 800 for a set of factory headlights on ebay... You can buy brand new S4 bi-xenon ecodes for less than that and then pay 200-300 for the oem xenon bulbs and ballasts from the various forums.

If you do it with the ecodes and valeo ballasts it's 100% plug and play. You wont have the auto levelling because you are not wired for it but you just manually adjust them.
