HID help?

Default HID help?

Hey guys..been a while since I've posted..but really busy with new job. Anyways..here's the question: first..what "k" are stock S4 HID's? and second..other than the color..does the higher the "k" mean brighter also? Let me know please..anything will help.

stock is 4300k
and K is more for color than anything
the higher the K the more blue it will be then, then it will be purplish
the higher the K the less brighter it is becasue there will be less useable light

K stands for Kelvin.. its a measure of tempature... Stock HIDS is 4300K the maximum light output.. The higher the Kelvin rating the less light output but more color.. 12k is like purple and 4K is white do you see what i mean 8k has a blue hue to it

I was just being a smart *** if u hadnt noticed socal, and yes i do know all bout the K ratings and lumens for light out put

So..if I want to go brighter do like 4000k..ok..but why is my buddy's 3.0 USP have xenons brighter than mine? I thought all audis have 4300k?

they should be the same maybe urs are faded it guess
or are u lookin at them at diffrent angles
