So..if I want to go brighter do like 4000k..ok..but why is my buddy's 3.0 USP have xenons brighter than mine? I thought all audis have 4300k?
Ok i dont know how long u have used u HIDs for (they last bout 5 times longer than halogens) but lets say u or the prevoius owner has used them ever nite for the last 5 or so years they could be a little faded.

Therefore u mite need new bulbs? If u are after outrite light ouput, then the 4300K has the greatest light output (that why Audi uses them strait out of the factory), 4000K isnt as bright and anything above 4300K will not have as bright a beam

New HIDs also take a bit of time to 'burn' in, meaning that the light output of the HIDs increases to a point during the burn in period

If u are going to compare HIDs, compare like and like cars, coz diff cars have diff projectors therefore hard to compare

Its also know in the auto industry that Audi has the best projestors in its cars with HIDs

Hope that clears it up?

Yeah..thanks MICHAELMARC..that makes a lot of sense. I'll probably go have them changed at the dealership. But one more question..where did you get your euro-rear bumper?

No probs SILVER_B5S4, [sm=noooo.gif]but dont get u HIDs from dealer they will really rip u!

Try some of the Online auto bulb sites, at the min i cant think of a good, cheap one (PowerBulbs in UK) mite have been one. Dont go for any of the other brands apart from Philips, they are the best!

If u went for the Philips 4200K (ECS has them) u wouldnt see much of a diff with the naked eye b/w 4200K to 4300K, i personally would go for the Philips 4200K/4300K coz i wont max light output at nite & not into the ricer purple/blue/green HIDs[sm=headbang.gif]

They mite be a bit more expensive but they are not as murky and are clearer than some of the cheaper brands

The Euro rear bumper came on the car, im in Oztralia and we got the Euro spec S4's - more pics in me album

jinyya05 thanx. i was thinking of calling it the 'S4 - Cab' or 'Taxi - S4' : bit too classy for a cab though?
