Default HID HELP..PLEASE

has anyone installed a HID kit on their car? if so did you wire the power to the stock DIP headlight power supply of did you go to the battery. I installed mine off the battery and now b/c the stock headlight bulb is not connected the Left and Right Dipped Headlight code is showing up on my display? what should I do??

also did you have to take out a deflector in your headlight. I installed mine and the HID is very very dim. Some one told me that their was a deflector i had to remove to make it brighter?

No a HID setup uses less power than halogen - 35 watts typically as apposed to 55 watts. I get no warning lights with mine wired in. A HID is not suppose to go into a halogen housing, the focal points are different. I would expect it to not be as bright as xenon housings. You may want to invest in a set of E-code housings though, the light output is much better than American headlights.

Pretty sure http://www.epimporters.com sells them, but not sure if they are the cheapest. Check ebay too.

E-code lights throw a pattern of light like this:

Notice the sharp cutoff of light.
