Default HID kits?

Has anyone tried the HID kits to replace the fog lights and highbeams? I would like to look to look into them, but want to know if they work. If they blind people, well with highbeams on I am not really caring too much. I have the OEM low beams. What do you guys think?

I expect that HID fogs and lows would be pretty blinding, but people do it. In fact, there's a very recent thread on the forum about someone doing just that. Blinding or not, I'll probably do it at some point [8D]. It's not legal though, so if it IS blinding and you blind a cop, you'll probably have an issue. You can minimize the blinding effect with careful aiming, but still, anyone that's come up on some HIDs knows that they're bright as heck, so x2 would obviously be worse. As for putting them in the brights, well, I guess that depends on how often you use them. I live in the city and use mine once every two months or so. Wouldn't be worth it.

You only need them for low beams. They take 2 seconds to come on,
and that's too long for the highs. The color is wrong for fog lights.
Save your $$$ for repairs.

You can get 3000k for your fogs, and they are actually the right yellow color.
