High Pitched sound when coasting
Hi AudiPeople!
I'm curious about a sound my car is making when I'm coasting. Its a semi-soft high pitched squeeking sound that happens when I'm coasting. I just noticed it today while driving and it seems to be more prevelant on the right side of the car. It does not squeek while braking or while the clutch is engaged. Only when coasting in gear. It also does not happen when I accelerate. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Funny, mine just started that, too![:@]
I put down the back seats of my car and listened to it and realized it is not related to clutch, braking, engine RPM, just speed of the car. The sound is most prevalent when turning left, which makes me believe it may be the right rear bearing.
I'm going to get it checked out this week. Let me know what you find out.
Good luck!

Ya, Thanks Doose!
I might have another lead on it too. I was talking with Slim last night and I told him about my excessive front brake dust. It could be that I need to replace my rear brakes. I'll keep both tips in mind when I'm having someone look at it.
Thanks a lot!
