I just bought an audi A4 2.7 quattro made in 1998 with about 134 thousand miles (the cars engine was replaced before the purchase with a 88 thousand mile engine). The car is also a manual. My question is, if i'm in 5th gear and crusing at 60 miles per hour, is being at 2400 to 2500 rpm normal? Also when i'm crusing at 80mph my rpm is at about 3400rpm. Thanks in advance for the help!

note: the car has no modfications/aftermarket add on that i know of in anyway

lol for a second there i thought u might have had the s4 engine ya u wish...but i got a 1.8T so i cant really help ya there

 

thats pretty normal for the 2.8 so i would not freak out about itor any thing the will rev forever
