mileage...how high is too high?
In my quest for a turbo A4 I have found one with 145k miles that the owner claims to be in excellent condition (of course). Is this mileage just too high to start modifying and adding power?
search on this, as it is a very common question.
most of us will agree, buying preowned cars with 65K and under is preferable. by 145K, i would hope the timing belt was changed twice at this point, and some other problem areas to check out would be control arms and what not.
then again, a lot of us have 100K+ cars that have been very well maintained, and still going strong.
