Road trip this weekend. 446 miles to a whole tank! This must be some kind of record considering I wasnt entirely conservative with the gas pedal. Also, the temps got bellow 50 degrees last night and all I have to say is "goodbye heat soak." I forgot the difference the cool weather has on turbo/ performance. Much more fun to drive in the cooler months for sure. The boost comes on faster and it pulls considerably harder. YIPEE.


Anyone else noticing improved performance now that the weather is turning cooler, especially 1.8t-ers???

 

The best I've seen my 2.0 did was when my g/f was behind the wheel on our drive back from KY to Ca. The display showed 645 miles-to-empty, she drove for 270 miles and only used less than quarter of a tank

 

Wow I thought my 31ish mpg was good, maybe ifI let my wife drive I'll get 45ish mpg like you! Screw hybrids.

 

my best ins 33mpg, doing 96mph the whole time...lol. But yeah, the colder weather is awesome here in FL! It is actually hitting in the 60s at night....[:-]!

 

ya man its so much better to drive in the cold. i used to take snow and pack it around my fmic. that would help with the cold temps also

 

Yeah, same with my 2.0.
Vegas and back to LA with quarter tank (aprx. 130ish Miles left)
And it was AC on and in the blistering dessert heat.
I'm surprized with the 2.0Ts

My Civic's little 1.6 10 gallon tank was horrible with mods...
I was averaging like 26MPG

Audi... 30ish... Worth the upgrade for me...

Yeah driving today was great I dont have exact numbers but I was around 29 or so. Cold weather = Heat soak be gone!

yeah i sure miss the ole 2003 jetta TDI... my best was 918 miles to one tank!!!!!!!!! 62.8 MPG i think??
i used to go 250 miles before the gauge even moved off fuel!!
