how difficult are timing belts to replace?

If I get one of those timing belt kits for $300, which includes all the tools and instructions, is it still easy to mess up my car? Anyone done it before?

Its not a simple task but it doesnt take alot of skill its pretty basic skills used to do it, there is a DIY around here somewhere that can help you out a bit, and yes if done wrong it WILL **** up your car
