How do I know if I have a B5 or not?

I'll probably get flamed for this, but if you think a tricked out decade old car is sexy you must either still be in highschool or date fat chicks
The B6makes girls wetand actuallylooks like it's from this century. As for the B7,no comment

Look at your car. If it's ultra fugly, it's a B6, if it's kinda fugly, then its a B7, but if it's damn sexy, you have a B5

I'm not in high school, my fiancee isn't fat, and my 'decade old' car probably has less miles than your car. Ever wonder why people like 'tricking out' older cars? Because there is a huge market for parts, tried and true, and have spent years in testing. The B5A4 is almost like the older Honda Civics (NO FLAMING) in the way it has so much available for it, and has so much potential. Granted, aside from availability of aftermarke parts, the comparison between the A4 and Civic ends there.
lol.
i second that.
the only thing i like about the newer audi's is the front grill and warranty.
theres no need for a bigger engine anymore since the price of fuel is still rising. 2.8L is big enough, (in america anyway).
ithink my stock wheels are the best ones audi has ever had on their cars!!! Konig do a wheel simalar i think.
plus i prefer my stock steering wheel to all the other oem steering wheels.
B5's own! lol

All I have to say, is that everybody has their own tastes in cars, and has their own ideas for what looks good and what doesn't. Coming from a former B5 & current B6 owner, I do like them both. I was just shocked when I went to the dealer once, and saw a brand new B7 for the first time. I was just standing there, thinking to myself... "WTF did they do to this poor car?" But the B7's are growing on me.
I do remember a previous thread where somebody wanted to know our preferences on B5's, B6's, and B7's.

im a B5 owner (yes, I know that for sure now), sometimes I wish i had a B6 or B7, although i personally like the B6/B7 shape better, a lot of my friends tell me the shape of my car is timeless and that it looks better than the B6's (B7's are sweet looking and theres no question they look better than the B5's)
ya i get a lot of people coming up to me asking if my 2001 b5 is a 2007, lol.... but if you saw pics of my new one (not the ones in my gallery) it might make a little more sense. It has the ability to look very new and up to date. The back ends are just the sexiest things out there and the way the roof dives into the hood after its lowered is amazing. The only thing I dont like on my b5 is the sideskirts and the front lower part how its not molded to the car, but those two things are very easy to fix lol
o ya, i want a b6 btw... but b7's are just not doin it for me. but a b6, omg sooooo sexy, the fender flares are just amazing on those things. you can slap 20's on it so easily, sorry im more of a "baller car" guy than a 500hp beast, ive had my fast car days and i definately like sport luxury way better

^same here..the balla look is good for me too...i figure if i have more speed, ill speed more often..resulting in more tickets/warranty voids/potential accidents
The B5A4 is almost like the older Honda Civics
Most people are shocked when I tell them my car is a 98. The b5 look is just a classic. I really like the aggressive B7 grill though.
