i got an 02 b6 a4 1.8t.......i just put a testpipe in last week...and today i put in a apr chip....i shud have about 215 to the crank.....and be boostin about 15-16 psi.......my friend has a 02 bmw 325i.....its 100 percent stock except an intake.....and he beat me by half of a car tonite!....wat the hell?!.....how does this happen?!.....i was soooo pissed.....i just spend 500 dollars and i still lose!....wat the hell?!.....a 325 isnt that fast is it?....wat shud i do? wat am i doin wrong?.....i got tiptronic...so its not like im mis-shifting.....and i do everythin a racer is supposed to.....wat the hell?!....let me kno wat i shud do differently or if i shud just say **** it and take the chip back and get my money back....

 

You shouldn't assume your HP and boost, check it for leaks and have it dyno'd. And, maybe he's a better driver. Plus, the Audi Gods frown on street racing.

 

is the 325 a manual??? if so, he will beat you..... a chipped tiptronic audi with run a 15.7...... a stock 325i manual with run a 15.7 as well... so he can definately beat you....

dont be too shocked... if you were manual you would run a solid 15.1 all day...

 

He also has a testpipe, it doesn't sound right to me, and hes boosting a little low so I don't know what the deal is. I mean I know tiptronic is gay as hell.. but is it really that gay?

well bmw 325 has a I6 185hp rating i believe...you "should" have the upperhand wtih a chip...and again like they said if he has stick and your auto...its even a closer race

 

When one of my buddies had a rsx with the tiptronic he did intake header exhaust chip and short shifter to lose to my escort zx2 with intake headers and short shifter. It's extrememly gay. I've driven it on many cars and it feels like the car wants to do so much more when your driving it but it just won't let you.

 

I beat a 325xi from a stop by at least three car lengths about a month ago. I had all the stuff in my sig minus the testpipe.

 

a tiptronic 1.8 is a low 17 second car. a chip takes off about 1 second. So you would still be getting down the track in the low 16's...

tiptronic is absolutely horrible.
