Default how do I remove the glove box? 1997 A4

I am trying to get the glove box out of my 97 A4 2.8. I don't see a single screw to remove. What's the trick?

My A/C is blowing hot air so I want to check the air flap to see if its stuck. I am pretty sure its the flap because it would not blow hot air either towards the end of winter.

These are tricky little fu****s.. You have to remove the lock clips by the hinge then remove the two bolts in the illustration. 2 and 3 are the bolts, and 4 and 5 are the clips.

I have a 2002 A4 1.8T with a stuck / broken glove box. The latch is not engaging on the right side. I read through the forums and didn't find a way to remove the glove box if you can't get in it. There are 2 bolts outside the glove box, but several more inside (on the 2002 model, at least). But there is good news if you have this problem. You can remove the side plate to the right of the glove box with a medium flat head screwdriver. From there, the right side latch protrudes out into the space to the right of the glove box. By easily pushing it in, my glove box opened. As it turns out, since the latch is broken, it doesn't re-engage when closing the glove box (I taped it to make sure it stays put). I'm not sure if the glove box door will rattle with one latch open, but I'm going to try using it with just the left latch engaged and see how it works. At least I now have a way to remove the entire glove box if that doesn't work. This definitely beats trying to pry the sucker open!

I haven't figured out how to remove the metal clip on the door hinge to replace the glove box door. I'm not sure if that's an integrated part or not. Anyone know?
