To use the headlight washers the headlights have to be on. Just pull the stalk like you would to wash your windows, and they will pop up. You must hold the sprayer on for a few seconds to get them to pop up.
There is no gas door popper button. As long as the car is unlocked the gas door is open, when you lock the car it locks the gas door.

I never knew if mine worked till my headlight got smashed and I was drivin down the street at night and decided my winsheild was dirty so I flicked on my washers and my headlight went "pop" and got real dark...I was like well now I know they work[&:]
