Default how far should i lower my b5?

Will a 1.25 inch drop from stock look good with 18 inch rims??

Also, how hard is it to install a new sping and shock set up?

P.S. I dont need anything else to properly lower the car besides shocks and springs, correct?

jeff i got 18" and mine is about 2.5" F/ 2.25" rear. I dont think that you can go that lower easy.

I am in the same boat as you guys, I just don't know what will look best. I was thinking about ordering these since they are on sale and I can play around with the high.

there is only a 2 inch gap between my tires and fenders... i dont want the car to sit lower than the tires and im not willing to sacrafice all of the comfort for performace because I just want the car to look all right. im sayin will 1.25" be low enough to prevent my car from looking like a 4x4?? pictures of different drops would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
