Ok, taking my car in tomorrow to have control arms replaced...... they said it takes 2 hours just to do the alignment? is this correct?

 

If its a 4 wheel alignment that might be about right. Still seems a little long.. If its just for the front.. I would assume that Hellen Keller will be working on your car if it takes that long??? I dunno.

Did they give you a price quote on that work?? clconversion can correct me if im wrong, but i think the dealer charges $90-$95/hour(US) in labor. Thats about $200 for Helen's corrective laser eye surgery.

 

2 hours just for the alignment ? you got an audi or 18 wheels truck ?

I think they still use the alignment tools from the stone age...

 

*sigh*...... i promised the guy on here that works for this dealership that I won't say anything bad about it ever again..... so i won't

but see, i have to have this done and it has to be done tomorrow, .... i am driving from south carolina up to pennsylvania to see my boyfriend on friday afternoon, so i don't have the time to take it somewhere else.......

but yah, they told me it's gonna be like 400 for alignment and to have the control arms redone

if i had an 18 wheeler, and not an audi, don't you think i'd be on some OTHER type of forum!!! lol

 

tomorrow on youe way to the dealer, stop by at firestone and ask them what they will charge for the allignment.

I think they have lifetime alignemnt deal about $150 or something... ok I shut up.

And have any of you ever done an alignment before, cause it takes at least 1 hour to do, but you will be paying 2 hrs labor

 

yea when i did my control arms i didnt need an alignment but...... i priced around after putting my suspension on and found les schwab at $85 and sears at $65. best part about sears was that they did it right when i walked in, les schwab made me set up an apointment 5 days later, blah[:'(]
