My wifes A4 went in to get a Transmition service, Well on the way I pulled in to get fuel and F**K me if power steering fluid was pissing out of the bottom of the car. I normally take my car to a Euro specialist on the Gold Coast. Well there was no way I was going to make it there. Anyway there was a Euro dissmatler that sell's proper Audi/ VW Oil's for the power steering. I topped up and asked him for the nearest Mechanic was he said down the road about a KM. I got there and after about 1/2 hour up on the hoist he said I think it's the rack. Well my jaw slam hit the floor. OH wait a minute turn the wheel for me. Boy are you in luck the hose from the power steer unit had split. The guy's 2 doors up where hose fitters so they made me a new hose and clamp's and I was on my way after 2 hour's . Man did I feel lucky. Here are a few pic's.

Yea man, sometimes you just luck out. Glad to hear that everything worked out for you. Could have been a costly repair otherwise, props to the mechanic for taking a 2nd look on that one.
