Sorry for bringing this topic up after it's already been discussed before. I've searched the forums for an answer as to why the second gear in the tiptronic transmissions have the midway dip in rpms, but found nothing definitive. It seems like the tranny has2 shifts within second gear while running in auto-manual mode. I'm assuming it is not aproblem andfrom what Ihave read so far, the torque converter seems to beat fault. How many other tiptronic b6ers notice this other than myself?And has anyone found a way to fix it?

 

I notice it...bothered me @ first but I've gotten used to it. I don't think it's much to worry about though..but I'm really not sure.

Yeah, I don't assume it's a problem, but it is kind of annoying. Just seeing how many people experience this, and if anyone had mods they had done that fixed it.

 

The REVO software all but eliminates it..it's very faint now after the flash

 

Yeah, I only really notice it in tip mode but I rarely drive in sport mode and don't pay much attention to my shift points in drive. I saw your post andnobody seems to know why it is.Strange that the best feature ofthe auto transmission iskind of flawed.

 

will all software help it? i.e. apr, speed tuning, etc or is the revo known for it?

 

That's good to know. My first choice for chipping is REVO but may not have it done for a bit.

 

I'm not sure if all software will help..I just know it did mine. Revo's bada$$ though. Highly recommended..
