Default how much boost

i was just wondering how much boost is safe on a stock turbo, i have a cold air intake installed, 100%plumback bov, 3inch from turbo back exhaust and ive done about 140,000kms, ive put a boost control on there and it has been dynotuned to have max boost of about 13pounds, i know stock is around 6, now is this safe if i only turn up the boost every now and then in coldish night temperatures.
where i live is quite hot most of the time so i only turn it up and a good cool night..

what does it matter if its cold ? your not adding any fuel, your going to run lean and blow the motor up
if you want 13lbs take off the boost controller and get a chip

Welcome to the forums... But, intake does nothing for you power wise, its bad to use a BOV with an Audi unless you have a recirc. kit, 3 inch exhaustdoes not provide enough back pressure for the turbo to be efficient, anything more than stock boost (7-10psi) is NOT safe unless you have proper ecu tuning to adjust timing and fuel delivery to compensate for the added boost. Sorry if i come off as a dick, but it sounds like you are going about the whole moding thing all wrong. You have a lot to learn so stick around and do LOTS of searching. Hopefuly youll learn a thing or two before you kill your engine.
I guessits possible that you got the car as it is now and it isnt your fault. But someone didnt know what they were doing.

in his defense, he did specifically say his BOV is 100% plumbed back into the intake. this means it does exactly the same job as a stock DV, does it not?

Since you say dynotuned I assume you are chipped or have some type of aftermarket programming and didn't just bump up the boost and run it on a dyno. With that assumption a MAF sensor can make up for appoxamately 50 hp (at least that is the general rule of thumb) so theroreticly you could increase or decrease boost by 5 pounds without a different program but not reccomended. Multiple tunes on one chip is a better way to go.

my bad i missread. yes from the sounds of it the air is going back into the plumbing. Doesnt help the fact that 13 psi can kill your engine without correct tuning.
