I agree, look at my sig, or wait, is it in my sig? Anyways, I got tip, wish almost everyday that I would have gotten a manual, well, all except for when I drive to work in the morning (4:35a.m.). Wait...there seems to be one other advantage...wow, I just realized that me being lazy wasn't the only reason why I got the tip. Wow, now I don't have to beat myself up as much over buying a stupid TIPTRONIC!

LOL...
ko4 is the top performance you're gonna get. 235 hp or so. If you want any more than that go with stick.

so if the tranny can take 300 and a Ko4 will take me to 235 at the wheels cant i just run a gt28rs turbo wih low boost just enought to give me power whiel still spooling quickly.
hp and torque are different things - k04 will put you at 265tq and with the upgraded pc-16 your lookin at 295tq

Sounds like everyone on here is right, 300 is about as high as you can go with TIP, stop crying about the manual in traffic, get a new job thats isnt in a city and youll be fine.

i dont live anywhere near the city, just in an area with lots if ignorant slow people and lots of trucks, if i find a manual ill take just because i dont really care if i drive stick or not, to me its really a status and respect thing. so im looking with tip and tuning to enough oomph or sticking with stick and smoking ricers

Im running a K04 in with my TIP and no problems, not very smooth in automatic due to the very sharp power curve, but i almost always drive it in TIP mode anyway.

I am very happy with my TIP and like SAudi's idea, I have it because of stop and go traffic here in Boston. I drive 75 miles round trip to work and about 45 of it is stop and go traffic. I would be doing clutch replacments every 6 months if they traffic and boston drives. Its always hurry up and go so you can come to a dead stop again. UGH

why don't you guys stop turning every thread about tiptronic into a "you should have gotten manual" and just help the guy out with his question... it gets old, man.
