I have a Dark Blue 1997 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro (AUTOMATIC) and I was wanting some opinions on how much my car was worth. It has 70,500 miles on it as of now. Was owned by a doctor before me. Mechanically everything is in near perfect condition. (Non-smoker) Cosmetically the hood has a big blotch where some bird crap apparently stayed on there too long and took off paint, and there are your usually chips from a ten year old car elsewhere. 20% tint on everything except the windsheild. Not sure if i would change everything back to stock, but here is what I have on it thats aftermarket:
-2pc Projector headlight with Silverstar bulbs
-Clear sidemarkers
-18" Enkei LM1's wrapped in Falken Ziex's (235/40/18 I believe)
-Sony Xplod MP-80 MP3/CD Player w/disc tray and remote
What do you all think I could get with the aftermarket parts? Without?

Holy crap did you put a lift kit on that baby, lol I think with the mods you could probably get 8 without them maybe 7500 mods dont really add to the value that much and stuff like the stereo isnt worth keeping, i mean its sony its **** anyway, the wheels you could keep but unless you get another audi there kinda worthless to you
haha yea its a monster truck right now. I have a lot in store for it if I keep it but thats the main dilemma rightnow. I feel like its a waste of time with an automatic. Anywho, those prices actually are better than what I thought I would hear. And I guess I would sell all the aftermarket stuff individually and make a little more. And yea the headunit is pretty poopy. Thanks.

You will probably not get all of you money back for mods. Use the blue book, thats what most people shopping to buy will be basing their offer on.

Yea the NADA and Kelley were disappointing, but I was wondering if being in Louisville, KY would raise the value considering they are hard to find here.

It might, or it might lower it. Maybe there is a reason they are hard to find there, low demand for them in your area. If thats the case, then you wont get as much.
I didn't even think of that about the demand. Here's a pic of the blotch where I think the previous owner left bird crap on it.

You can get an idea of how big it is from the remote.
Also, I ran the wire back to the speakers for the headunit for the typical amplifier ordeal with back speakers. If I sodder(sp?) the stock headunit back up is everything going to work fine? I'm thinking it will since there is still a connection; although, I never know what I'll have to do with this car sometimes (e.g. - dislocate my elbow and shoulder to get to the oil filter!)

RE: How much could I get for my car?
If it were me i would put the car back to standard, then sell the mods on ebay or forums like this.
I think by puting it back to standard you will attract a wider scope of buyers.
Certain type of buyers will be put off by the mods.

Has anyone ever had any trouble with a buyer being turned off by tinting. I realize that 20% sounds dark, but its really not bad at all from inside of the car. Also, On the front windows its illegal in KY to have anything below 35; however, I just got pulled over the other night and the officer didn't say a thing (not to mention he was a total d-bag.)
