....quattro in the snow?
for some reason, ever since i picked up the 1.8T i've been DYING for it to snow.
I wanna see some winter pics, i wanna hear stories, keep me going till it snows guys.

Quattro is more power robbing than just powering two wheels. If you hook it up to the same engine, the Quattro would have more losses through the drive train than the FWD and Quattro also adds weight. So FWD would get better mileage.
I am going to have to head back up north to try out my new to me Quattro in the snow. A4s don't seem to be very popular down south (SC). I won't be able to really test it out around here. Sounds like a good excuse for a road trip back home.

Yes, get yourself some good all weather tires or else the quattro is worthless. I bought my A6 in Arizona and moved back home to Kansas City in November and it wasn't fun. I had to buy all weather tires before I did anything.
