How much is my A4 worth?
Hello, first time here. I posted at the classify section and got no respond. I hope it's ok here?
My wife has a 97 A4 quartto turbo. It has 140k on it, we need to sell it and get a miniven because our 8 month old boy is too big and heavy to get him in and out of the car. I have a bad back. How much do you guys think I can get for it. It is in really good shape. No mods. Tint is in OK shape, otherwise everything is up to date on the service. Thanks
Jeff

kbb says between 4305 to 5305 depending on condition, check your local car listings and see what others with similar options and millage are and that should give you a good asking price.. you want to pirce yourself somewhere in the middle dont over price your car it will never sell
^ true but if you do over price it then say open to negotiations you might end up getting more for it.
High ball it, then have a minimum that you are willing to take and let the buyer try to negotiate the price. often times they will not be able to talk you all the way down to your minimum amount.
for example: you need to get 6K for the car. list it at 8K then let them talk you down. you may end up being able to 7k out of the buyer.
and dont be afraid to walk away from a sale. use the silent method of negotiations. when he makes you an offer just dont make a sound leave the ball in his court and then let him try to tell you why its not worth 8K. you both know its not worth 8K but you shouldnt start lowering the price for him. let him do that. just set a limit as to how far you'll let him go.

yea but if you pirce your car 2k above everyone else they you may never get any calls.. 140k miles is alot most people wont look at a car with that many miles as it is, so you may price yourself out of the market
