1997...a4 awd stick...with 99xxx on it be worth? The owner says it needs a headgasket and pretty soon its going to need a clutch....I would have the headgasket done as soon as i got it along with the timing belt and water pump....it also needs a windshield....its very clean its lower on 18's with eibachs and koni's has exhaust and a greddy boost controller and a k and n intake....im not one to buy a car thats been modded but its just so sexy and fun to drive

i would say 4k with a blown headgasket...has the timing belt never been done? if it hasn't, i wouldn't buy the car. it already sounds like he didn't take very good care of it.

he's asking 4500....Im going to offer 3 considering the estimates I got for the work needed to be done....he isnt the original owner of it...he seems to have taken care of it...it runs and drives fine but if driven for a long period of time the temp starts to go up....Im assuming the timing belts never been done....but due to certain circumstances going on with the seller its very hard to talk to him and get ahold of him except for during the day but Im busy during the day.

if the tb has never been done i would suggest not driving the car. that belt is going to go out any day now...if he has neglected the timing belt, which is arguably the most important maintenance item on an audi, who knows what else he's neglected...if audis aren't taken care of, they are worthless after 100k miles...open up the oil cap and check if you can see any signs of oil sludge...push down on the fenders and listen for suspension noises....if it were me, i wouldn't be buying this car...it doesn't sound like a good investment...where are you from?

Long Island New York...The guy seems willing to work with the price and like he wants to get rid of it...I dont mind putting a few thousand into it if I can get it cheap enough....I was reading the timing belts should be done around 60000 im assuming its been done on this car...not sure though...Its something I have to ask....he said since he got it he has had the boost turned all the way down because he didnt need it up for any reason...but if I was selling a car I might not tell the interested person about how I cranked up the boost and went to town...lol.

if he's already done the tb, and if he has service receipts, then it's a good deal.
