If you want an illigal car (either smog or crash testing), you need to import the car and the engine separate. Then you can register it as a "kit car." Just look at the Nobel cars for more info.

whoa wait, a while back i wanted one really bad and went looking, searched everywhere even google and ended up finding some dude selling one on dragtimes for like 5 grand that was in alright shape. in the us.

There are no S2 in america except the race car, what you probably say or are think about is a B3 coupe quattro, alot of people do a B4 conversion on them and if they have the money through in an AAN or 3B engine. the guy at 034motorsport has one making 700hp on the7Amotor.
