how do i remove the a4 headlamp??

there's 2 screws on top, the plug that goes to the high beam, How do I take it off????

and i see a 3rd screw that requires some kind of socket... (bad with tool naming)

 

easy way= take off the front bumper.

 

Holy crap.. I cant imagine taking offf the bumper just to get the headlights out.. You need to use like a 5 or 6 inch extenstion for your ratchet with the same sized torx bit and the 3rd bolt is down threw that hole on each corner of the fenders by the headlight.. i dont have a pic but thats the best i can explain it. Takes me maybe 5 mins to get both out that way.

 

Just use a long extension, i hate having to take off that friggin' bumper.

and how about the wire thats connected to the high beam, there's a purple clip on it as well, i took it out but it still wont separate from the harness

take the front bumper off.

 

you don't eevn have to. just take it out, it's not hard to do.

 

If you think you need to take the bumper off to get the headlights out, you shouldnt be working on cars.
Well maybe thats a little harsh.. But seriously what a waste of time that would be... Thats like removing your hood to change your oil.
