quite simple cut the wires and fit a separate switch then fitdriverenhanced lights instead of fogs then its legal

 

I've done it - on both a 98.5 and a 2000. They are different.
On the 98.5 I had to rewire the switches. On the 2000 you can modify a relay behind the glove box.
In both cases I did not add any separate switch - it all stayed stock on the dash - course I am not legal.

 

FYI:
On the Canadian B6's the only way to turn the fog lights off is to turn the head lights on.

Criag, all of the B6's require a mod to the light switch and a vag, or you can hardwire it without the vag-com but you also need to modify the relay doing it this way.
I don't have a Canadan B6, but i wouldn't imagine that the wiring is all diffrent if compaired to the other versions, with the vag mod you need to change your country code and simply cut a wire.

 

widgget - how do you vag the car and do the wire mod...sounds like you have a US version B6 and know how to do it?

 

If you run only fogs you better be planning on doing 20mph, your not gonna be able to see far enough ahead of you to safely navigate at normal speeds + how are you supposed to notice cops hiding on the side of the read if your fogs are pointing at the ground and cant hit reflectie paint. Just use both be smart

 

i want to run fogs only for when i enter parking lots, residential, etc. on the road it'll be both sets of HID's

 

i am considering doing this mod as well... and i have heard time and time again that you can do it with vag-com...

the reason why i am doing it is not to just run fogs at night... thats just retarted... i like the look of just fogs around dusk and afternoon when the light starts to get dim but is not dark enough for headlights... i think it looks dope, however, yes running just fogs at night is stupid... and i espeically would like the look of my yellow fogs on all alone at dusk... would look nice
