The thermostat sits below the intake manifold behind a bunch of hoses. If you follow the hoses from the radiator you'll find it. It's in a tough location to get to. You can barely see it from the front with the radiator and AC condenser removed.

The temperature sensor could be the problem.

i think it might either be the temperature sensor or when i flushed my coolent system i put all coolant in there, i maybe should have mixed a bit of water, could that be the problem too?

where is the temperature sensor? how would i determine which is at fault ?

You definitely need to mix water in with the antifreeze. The mixutre of the two gives you the boiling and freezing protection that you need. Straight antifreeze will provide much less protection than a mix of water and antifreeze. See attached chart.

60% antifreeze-40% water gives you the best cold weather protection.

Default STRANGE TEMPERATURE DROP AND INCREASES SO OFTEN!!!!!

okay ive done that, and its still acting funny with temperature, and now even more constant that sense i change it to 60-40.... its weird because when the temp drops to 70 degrees or raises to 100 degrees i just turn on the heater either way it goes back to 90 degrees EVEN IF ITS COOL IT HEATS UP TO 90 ???? WTF is that all about?
plus i notice im loosing fuel efficiency and power drop are occuring when the temperature starts to muck around??? could be psycological though

HELP NEEDED ASAP PLEASE!!!!

if its the coolant temperature sensor thingi ECT or whatever they are called, where are they found, i know they come in different colors, red black green but where do i find it on a AEB engine? and what color would it be? thanxxxxx

just to add to this , i noticed when i check coolant temp through my climate control itll read 80-95 degrees yet the pin would sit steady at 90 degrees? and itll keep going up and down from that range, so i dont know????
