Any way to tell if this is a k04-15?

 

you have to look at that blue tak and see if the part number says ko4-015 and i think i can make out ko4 on there buts its really blury

 

Well its not a "real" Borg Warner K04-15 if that is what you are asking - a real one will look like this

That's the wrong version of K04 for an A4. The clocking (the housings on each end of the turbo rotate around the center section)and tubine section (theeom style is 3 bolt, not 5)will not fit.

It won't work on an S4. Theyalso use a 3 bolt exhaust housing.

 

S4's actually use 4 bolt exhaust housings

 

No ****. I was under the impression they also used the 3 bolt exhaust section. Learn something every day.

 

yeah.. they are 3 bolt exhaust inlets though, just 4 bolt outlets..

the ebay turbo this thread was originally created for is not a ko3 or ko4 of any kind.. it's either a hybrid of some kind or an old porsche k24 knock-off. not sure
