im a pretty new audi owner and dont know to much yet..i was just gonna see, with mods, what kinda hp can the 1.8t put out.

 

well with a LOT of modding ive seen way upwards of 350, but your talking alot of **** to get it there... the 1.8T has a lot of potential, too bad it doesnt come from the factory with a little more punch to start out with

 

d*** what kind of turbo would you need to put out that much?

 

GT2871RS will get er dun, lol you can push more than that i think up too 400 with out having to mod the block.... a T3/T4 set up will push it up there too

 

i beleive a gt71rs or a gt2871rs turbo could handle around 300 to 350 but you need a shitload of stuff to beef up your engine and allow it to handle that psi and not blow up in the process... new injectors, fmic, etc. the whole deal

 

Its waht $3400 from renn-art not a bad price i think thats there im going when i got the money

you mean what psi can your stock system hold if you upgrade tubo?

 

Im pretty sure the stock internals can safely hold 24/25 lbs of boos, i have seen people say they spike like 30 on stock but i wouldnt run much more than 24

 

If it's your daily driver, and you want it to still be somewhat reliable... Go with something simple, like a K04 upgrade... If you have a bit more money to spend, go with a GT2871R, more efficient power.

But this is an expensive car to modify, if you want to play, you're going to pay.
