Default HP LOSS!!

So I get back in my car after being at home in detroit for 10 days and drove it this morning...

I just had a new turbo put in under warrenty by the dealership...

The car feels like it has lost a ton of hp...when I really get on it and accelerate the turbo spools but it sounds like it spools up and then doesnt do anything for the car...weird huh...

anyone??

please help...I was thinking maybe just the dv needs to be replaced but I have an 00 1.8TQ tip and I have no idea

I would just take it back to the dealership but I dont want them charging me for anything I didnt do..

help!

Check all your VAC hoses first, could be a possable boost leak.

If you just had the turbo installed during warranty, why would you be worried about them charging you? If car doesn't feel right take it back.

Yep take it back! Sounds like a leak somewhere for sure though... should be an easy fix. If you pop the hood, engine running... do you hear any hissing?

no I dont have a chip installed yet..I was going to b/c I just got this new turbo installed...

Im not worried about the dealership charging me...but I dont want to be unconvienenced without my car..it took them 5 days to get everything done last time and it was a bitch trying to get to work and around town ..

I thought maybe someone would have a fix I could do myself..

I will check the hissing sound today

you guys think it maybe the dv??

thanks

What kind of teachers do they hire in L.A.? If by "unconvenienced" you mean inconvenienced, then a trip to the dealer will be just that. Is it more inconvenient to find a problem that is probably covered by the dealer yourself, or to take it to the place that honors the warranty?

hahhahaa...typing fast

yea I know I just dont trust the stealership..

and if its a easy fix as in tightening some sort of valve or replacing the stock dv, which is prone to failure, then I would rather do so then "inĀ·conĀ·venĀ·iencing" me any further....

not sure what kinda school you went to but doesnt look like you won any spelling bees either chief
