The specs say that a 2000 Audi A4 1.8T has 150hp but the 2001 has 170hp? Any reason for this difference?

I ask because I am planning on putting an elim turbo in my new 2000 A4 (pretty sweet, Quatro,sport pack, black on vanilla, winter pack, nav system and low miles)

I figured it was electronically limited as I thought the 2000 was pretty much 99.9%the same as the 2001? Which would mean putting a turbo in my 2000, exhaust and chipping would get me the exact same results as doing so to a 2001, even though 2000 islisted as 150hp stock, does this sound right?

Any thoughts?

but to answer in the most simplified way, yes, that sound's about right

 

yes, 2000 has 150hp and 2001 has 170hp.

the 00 and 01 would have the same ammount of hp if they both had an elim kit installed and chipped. so as far as the hp difference, it won't matter in your case cuz your taking out the stock k03 turbo.
