ok, so heres my problem... i've been searching the forums for a good hour now and can't seem to find anything that relates to my problem. although i have found some other good info. so, when my car is on and warmed up i can hear a faint humming sound coming from what seems like under my car. its a really low yet kinda high pitched humming and not everyone can hear it. so if anyone know anything about this i'd be very thankful... o and it happens when im driving, parked, anywhere as long as the car is on and warmed up.[:@][]

o and my car has about 52000 miles and about 4800 from my last oil change.

 

My car made a humming sound becuase of a wheel bearing. But the humming only came when my car was moving. Can you pin an area where the sound is coming from?

 

Does it sound like it is coming from under the back seat?

 

it sounds like from underneathe the car, i can hear it inside and its even louder outside, but not from the engine. sounds like part of the exhaust like around the muffler. but i don't know if its coming from the muffler.

 

maybe the fuel pump on it's way out, mine went out at 49,000 and i know some one else on here went at 50,000.

 

dammit... i hope not, does it make a humming noise???[:@][]

 

I am pretty sure that it would be the fuel pump

 

call you audi dealer and ask them about the recall, i know you called the audi 800 number but call the dealer, a 50,000 mile fuel pump is bull$h!t.

The fuel pump usually sounds like a buzzing/whining/humming from under the passenger side/middle of back seat. Not all the way back at the rear muffler.
