it's actually not too good if you pay full in cash.... because it has to get reported to the irs... and that is just a bunch of
annoying paperwork and sh*t..... but defenetly never judge a book by the cover.

 

You know it sux that RS4 is wasted on an old person, as with most high end cars nowadays. BUT there is one wonderful thing about it. Now when he sells it it will be unabused, mint condition, low mileage, and cost half what he paid new

 

where did you here that? are you talking just strait cash being the problem or what, people pay cash via a check for cars all the time. not everyone needs to finance. I know if you open a checking/savings account and you deposit is more than $10k then they need to tell the gov

 

No its true, if you open a bag of cash and buy a car they have to report it, because it raises suspicion of drug trafficking, or being paid under the table tax free.


With a Check it is already reported by your bank.

I hate when I see old people drivingcars that Iwouldlove to have.You see them in Dodge Charger Daytonas, Mustang Mach 1's, BMW M3's and Porsche Carrera's and they are driving like they own a yugo. Stick with your Buicks you damn mummies. Leave the nice cars to the guys who will drive them the way they were supposed to be driven. Giving someone like that an RS4 is like caging the American Bald Eagle!

 

I'm from quincy ma, work at marina bay and there is a black rs4 here every day and i drewl when i have to drive by it. i think the owner is in his 60's and works in one of the buildings here. man that car is so f'in nice

 

Yeah... any cash transaction over $10K needs to file a Form 8300 with the IRS. I was working as a sales associate at an electronics store last couple of years, and every so often Steve Wozniak (founder Apple Computer) would come into my store all scruffy-looking, wearing a T-shirt, shorts, flip-flops, and would proceed to buy thousands of dollars' worth of stuff and pull out a wad of $100's CASH to pay for this stuff. Sometimes his purchases would go over $10K, and he would have to file a 8300 with our company which we forward to the IRS. So, like i2onnel's story, you can't judge a person by how they're dressed.

 

Not all old people drive slow...I'm 20 and from Chicago...so I jump on lake shore drive one day, and I stop at the light by soldier field...look in my rear view, and its an audi....RS4...light turns green, he comes around next to me and guns it weaving through traffic...I kept up really close behind him, both of us were making insane cuts....and when he finally decided to chill, I pull up next to him and give him a thumbs up and he does the same...he was about 50-60 years old...I later learned that he was a retired indy car driver in his winter beater...happiest day of my life though..

 

There is a lady in Spokane (Thats where I live) that has an RS6!!! I also know someone who knows them and might let us take it for a spin!!! If that ever happens then I will take pics/video and post it!!!
