The 710N is really only necessary if your stock DV is leaking, or if you get chipped. Just getting a 710N wont do anything fo ryou unless yours is broke or you already have a chip.
Just like a lightweight crank pulley is a waste of money if you are looking for more power. Save for a chip or whatever.

thanks for the opinions my dv is definitly broke and i have to do the timing belt anyways (any upgrade that i can pass off as maintence is great 2hp or not)

 

so its worthwhile to you even though it may hurt rather than help?? How do you know your DV is broke? You really should listen to what the "experts" have to say to you and not take things for granted. You might regret getting the pulley, but you might not. You may get 2hp out of it, but if it throws off the ballance of things thats very bad for the long term. Think more about what is actually happening by using a light weight crank as opposed to the claimed 2hp you might get. Seems like a giant waste of money to me and most other people. Save your money for a real mod.

 

yea those light weight pullys or crank pully what ever you want to call it are no good on the 1.8 they will mess **** up man its not just oppinion its fact

 

I agree but with other mods it can make a difference (I emphasize with other mods) on its own its a waste of time and money unless its shiny alloy then its only aesthetic but Ive seen lots of thing put on the engine for this reason only and serve no purpose than to beautify the engine bay

bad luck audi is saying that i know thaT changing the crank pulley can be bad but i thought that was for cars that had a harmonic balancer on it
