i a pretty mechanically inclined. if i take it apart i usually can put i back together. i am a little hesitant due to how tempromental these cars are. what are your sugegstions. and i am REALLYYYY tight on money. especially right now during the holidays

 

so would coolant in my oil cause my sounds like a subaru problem?

 

You may simply have too much oil circulating causing it to bubble. Drain a half quart and go down about 1/4 a quart from there if you can and see if the problem has been resolved.

 

would the bubbles be from too much oil if the disptick is reading right??

 

you could also get coolant into oil from the oil cooler leaking, which is located underneath your oil filter.

I do not know if your model has this or not, its a common failure point on the B5.

this is much easier to repair than the head gasket, if its the cause of the problem.

otherwise sounds like a head gasket. Any noticeable engine problems or decrease in performance?

when you say sounds like a subi, do you mean that noisy tick/click type sound when accelerating? valve noise??
