Well, a couple of months ago, my Timing Belt broke. So i brought my car to the dealership and they had to replace the belt, all the valves, and the water pump. The total came somewhere around $3800. The guys at the dealership told me that Audi recalled the timing belt for my car and they gave me paperwork to send to Audi. Well when i went to check my mail today, there was a letter from Audi and it was a Check for 3800, I AM SOOOO HAPPY NOW, now i dont have a 3800 hole in my pocket anymore. YAAAY

I can imagine!!! Good stuff buddy. Now the 3800 should go towards.....

 

Hahaha sweeet, that would make me the happiest person alive, id be dreaming up my next mods.

Oh yeah this reminds me... there was a service action/recall for the timing belt!~!?? The dealer that did mine 3 weeks ago didn't tell me about this. I was checking on something else with another dealer yesterday and he told me that my car was on the TB recall list.

I am on my way to being pissed since i paid for it, but interested in this refund deal that A4andy got.
Anybody else hear about this?
My car is a 98 1.8TQ auto

 

Sounds nice... thats kind of like finding $20 in your pants when you are doing laundry, except its $3800!
