Waiting for my car to come back from the shop is killing me...so I have been looking at wheels...I think 18" on my B6...a few questions though:

Can I get the 18" wheels and tires and not have to modify a damn thing on the car?

If I do have to modify or if you would recommend modifying how much $$$ am I looking at?

I have a B6 in Denim Blue Pearl Effect (think the middle between the light blue audi and brrman's avant) and I live in MI so the roads are horrible and lowering is a hard option to live with but I need to maintain some sort of ride quality. Anyways which ones:


Really really like these a lot! I think they look great on the A8 but it has a longer body which definitely makes them work better...these are probably my favorite Audi wheels...just not sure about them on a A4...


Only reason I don't want these is because everyone has em...and I like to be a little different...definitely saving money by going this route...still think they look great and originally planned on them but now...I just don't know...


I think these look great on the B6...hard to find 18's with center caps although there is a dealer in Australia who can send em over for about $900 shipped which isn't so bad...These grow on you the more and more you see em...

$$$ is becoming less and less of an issue...I want to be below $1000 for the set with shipping...which will be easy...maybe when I get home from work I'll update with pictures of the wheels actually on the B6...but I was in a hurry....

I like the middle ones the best. Overall, I'm not a big fan of replica wheels though. I prefer a more custom look. 18s will be fine without any modification. I would suggest a 225/40R18 tire. This should be close to the same height and width of your stock tires. Also, I beleive you want a 35mm backspacing on the wheels. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong but i think this is the standard for our cars. Good luck with your decesion!

 

I like the middle ones....the bottom ones look like the avus s4 wheels, I would imagine that you can find them here is the states for less. I think I saw some for sale for $600 on one of the forums.

The top ones would look good on a B6, but not nice on a B5.
The middle ones are nice too. The bottom ones are blah - too much like old s4 avus.

juju width of the tire isn't dependent on the wheel then? I see tirerack recommending a 235 instead of 225 so what's the difference there? That's just the width of the tire right?

The B7 RS4 wheels look great..i like! And as far as the A8 wheels looking good in a B6....they look awesome! I saw a black B6 with does wheels, and truely looked hot! i like it. Sebass, you should paint your lowers, it would really make a difference!
