i still have marks on mine from debadging.. ghost like reminenants from the 1.8T and the A4

they are scratches in the paint like little nicks..

I had a hell of a time getting them off and I apparently rubbed to hard ..Im gonna paint them black and clear coat the badges and put them back on

anyone know how to re apply them? what adhesive to use?

So let me get this straight, you wanna paint them the same color as your, then put them back on??????? Why dont I buy a K04, put a K03 compressor fan in it and then put it in. its a pretty pointless mod if you ask me. Like getting projectors with clear conrners then painting them yellow

haha ...when ever my car is clean i can see the marks and its cheaper than getting the trunk resprayed so I thought it may look decent at least

ill look into the K03 conversion ;-)

i tried taking pictures but there was too much reflection.. but like what some people said
i'm talking about the imprints of the badges..
so if i just wash the car few more times then it should be gone right?

yes, it will take some time. Take it to one of those high pressure washes a few times

When we did it to my buddies old STi there was that "ghost image" left behind, but after a few washes and a wax it went away.

Yeah all it takes is a couple car washs and some wax, give it a week or two. It will fix itself, just make sure all the glues off. In a week it should look hot

I'm telling you guy, just apply some car polish to the trunk lid, it will remove the dirt build up around where the badge was, & help smooth out the paint color.

2nd that, it will save you 10 trips to the car wash and it will blend the area with the rest of the paint much better.
