OK...a while back, my remote stopped working on my 2000 A4 2.8 Q...I replaced the batteries but the thing still wouldn't work...then tried re-synching the remote...then I had the dealer make me a valet key so I could reprogram the remote with no success...I don't know where to go next. Any suggestions? Could the remote itself be bad? Could the remote receiver in the car be bad? I checked in the manual to see if there were any fuses but found none...are there any fuses?

 

it sounds like the actual remote is bad, i had one go bad on me once and the dealer replaced it but that was when my car was under warrenty.

 

mine went bad on me on my first audi, it was a pain to unlock the doors manually everytime, i was so mad lol

 

Find someone with a real vagcom and check for codes in the central locking system.
