I feel stupid right about now...I took apart my air box to clean my air filter and now i can't get all the clamps back on...First i got two of them on there with no problem then i had so much trouble getting the 3rd one on that i took all of them back on to see if it was the way i had the box closed...Now i can only get one clip on...Any suggestions or techniques on how to put the metal clamps back on the airbox? The one closest to the front of the car is no problem...the one near the passenger side fender is a pain and the one closest to the cabin of the car is just impossible...Someone please give me advice...I can't drive this SOB till i get the filter back on....Thanx

I use the chrome/stainless ones

 

No not the hose that connects to the filter...i'm talking about the actual filter box...There were 3 hooks that i took off to open the casing to get to the filter....Now i can't get them back on...I was wondering what i could do to push those hooks back in place so that my filter will be secure...

 

loosen everything, close the air box, tighten everything.

 

There are no screws or anything to loosen and tighten...Only thing i could do it take off the other clip, open it up again and reclose it which i have done already so i'm stuck...should it be that hard to get back on?

 

they ae a pain in the butt, I use a screw driver to locate them, ensure the air filter is set right

 

well ok i guess i'm off to take another shot at it...thanx for the feedback...

 

yeah man they are such a PITA. you gotta get the ones underneath the airbox on first and then worry about the ones that you can actually see.

 

its normal to be frustrated with these clips " an idea used from the old rotor caps " many a bloody knuckle on them I learned the hard way
