I found a hidden button below teh seat belts (A-pillar i believe) for the driver about a foor above the floor. It has a picture that is a car with liek radar waves coming from the roof of teh car in the interior. Is this an on/off button for teh motion sensors?

 

Yep. I'm pretty sure I know the one your talking about and yes it is.

 

no! its the eject button! when you are driving and the bad guys from james bond start shooting at you, push it and the sunroof will open and your seat will blast you through the sun roof!

Actually, I told my little sister that the emergency flasher button is an eject button for the passenger seat, so that when she is annoying me, I can launch her out the window. She's pretty young, so she believes me.

Ok well im a noob and just got my audi so what is it?

 

Disables the ultrasonic motion detector inside the cabin. Used if you want to leave your windows down and lock your car. Otherwise the wind can cause the motion detector to go off.

 

I use it when I leave the dog in the car for a couple minutes.
I don't have to use it when the windows are down anymore tho - I VAGed the sensor's sensitivity.

 

and why didnt anyone tell me about this button when i was bitching about my motion sensors?! [:@]

 

Ive had a problem with my alarm going off, and i suspected the motion sensor... but it wont turn off. If I push the button when the car was off.. nothing.. then i turned on the car.. held the button in and now the light turned on. I the turned it off. Hopefully this stops the angry wind from setting off my alarm.
