Yeah, It really sucked, I was drivng around the airport here in FL and went over a speed hump that I didn't see and put a small hole in my oilpan. ECS did a great job in getting the new one to me fast, I'm just kinda bumbed cus When you take it off, you don't get to see the crank or rods or anything.

 

i just joined this club a few weeks ago.

dealer wanted 800 dollars for part and labor.

i got the pan and the labor for 400.

yippee. ; (

 

what? all that work and no pics?? WTF??

 

not much to see really. plus it was only taking the swaybar out of the way and then the pan.

 

Removing the oil pan is a great opportunity to clean the oil pump's pickup screen.

 

same thing happened to me- cost $400...

 

just curious, how much was the pan, because I need a new one.

 

for my 02 a4 it was 198 when i got it.

looks like it's down to 177 now.

just make sure you get the right pan...year and quattro/fwd for your car.

mine leaks like a biatch.....it jas a hole and the previous owner put a ghetto patch on there.
