I have to figure out my problem, so I can get my supercharger installed!
so heres my problem...
my throttle response is SOOOO SKETCHY!! Sometimes, I get in my car and throttle response is normal, it revs up fine, good pull, and it drives perfectly... but unfortunately this is only about 35% of the time...
the other 65% of the time I can smash on the pedal while sitting in neutral and it will take a couple seconds for the RPM's to start to climb, and when they do start to climb it seems like it revs a lot slower, and not as quick.
The problem remains consistent when i put the car in gear and drive it... the car will accelerarte normally part of the time, and the other times its sooooooo sluggish and slow...
Another thing, my fan is on all the time... and i was told that maybe my ETC (electronic throttle control) could affect this... so could my ETC also be affecting the way my car accelerates?? I think it makes sense, lol..
any help would be appreciated. Pretty much its like having 2 different cars, sometimes it runs a 15.3 in the 1/4 mile and other times it will feel like an 18 second honda.
Im not gonna purchase/install my supercharger until I have my car in perfect running condition, and right now its definately not running perfect.

DTC's??? I'm thinking that would an engine code??? and NO, there is no check engine light, and I went to checker auto parts and they didnt pull any codes at all... just previously I took the car in, and the shop said the throttle body was dirty... but that wouldnt make sense cuz sometimes it runs good, sometimes it doesnt... if my throttle body was dirty wouldnt it run the same at all times (either bad or good)
have you tried a throtle body alignment?? It could be a bad sensor in the TB. Its kinda hard to get help over the internet when you dont have a DTC and we cant drive it.

and are fuel pumps known to be a problem in these things?? When I get really low on gas I can hear my fuel pump whining like crazy... so could this have any indication that its getting weak on me..
i just found out that audi doesnt transfer there extended warranty anymore when you buy a car that has it on there.
Start with the fuel filter. A clogged fuel filter will put strain on your fuel pump and cause it to be noisy when you are low on gas when it has the least pressure. The fuel filter should be replaced every 15k miles no matter what Audi's service schedule says. Its too cheap and important of a part to ignore. I think a lot of running issues come from a clogged fuel filter. Everyone with an A4 that has replaced one from what i read has noticed a difference in the butt dyno and noted how clogged their old one was by blowing through it. Its one of the cheapest ways to start troubleshooting what might be fuel delivery problems other than using injector cleaner. Some say its a pita to replace, but i think that depends on your level of skill and tool collection. Im doing mine tomorrow along with my valve cover gasket. (YAY!)
