would that breakin cause my car to be really loud and the turbo to spool loud? or is it something in addition to that connector

Best thing to do is put it on jack stands or a lift with the engine running- plug your muffler tips and feel/listen for escaping air from the exhaust manifold all the way back to the muffler. You dont have to block the muffler tips, but it will make any leaks more apparent.

thanks onepoint8tee this makes me feel a little bit better about repairs...actually on the opther hand i was lookin for a reason to grab a borla exaust

Well if you had any plans to upgrade the exhuast then id do that.. Otherwise I think the down pipe is a $70 part. Or you could rig a JB weld job like acetrebo did that lastedfor a long time.

Town/City wont pay for you driving in rain and the water hitting your exhaust you have to prove that the road had a direct cause of the damage not nature. so you would be SOL anyways

pictures of the pot hole and depth would help also pictures of the exhaust system because im sure if it hit the floor it would leave marks on the metal

thanks guys...well looked at it again today..and it appears that on the left side of the engine where the first o2 senson is theres 4 bolts holding my cat on...about an inch from the bolts the cat is disconnected? does it pop in?
